Barb wire cover up tattoo1/18/2024 ![]() ![]() When World War I rolled around barbed wire offered a solution to keeping combatants out of the trenches. Within time, barb wire would also find its way into the battlefield with its first appearance back in the Spanish American war and Russo Japanese War. So did the railroad companies to keep livestock from wandering on their tracks. Of course, ranchers and farmers weren’t the only ones who wanted the cattle retaining technology. In comparison, barbed wire was considerably less expensive to purchase and near effortless to install. With the American frontier moving westward, the scare availability of traditional fencing materials like wood and stone in the Great Plains meant unfavorably high costs. Toward to the 19th century, demand for barbed wire soared to new heights. Over the course of time, adding clusters of sharp spikes at intervals along the thin steel wire would prove to be possible. Though, like all inventions, it took several milestones to reach with the original idea which actually dates all the way back to Englishman Richard Newton in 1845. ![]() Glidden introduced the perfected invention of barbed wire back in 1873 it quickly took the world by storm. So while it's a tad embarrassing, I'm ok with mine.From the cowboys keeping cattle in line to the soldiers on the battlefield keeping enemies at bay, barbed wire has cut its way into the history books. But I'm not ashamed of it and I'll never cover it up. So is my tattoo douchey and cliche? Perhaps. All around lost and fucked up view of the world kid) I exactly felt. Which at 18 years old (high school drop out. Later I looked up the meaning of prison tattoos and found out that barbed wire signifies a feeling of being trapped. So in my youth I thought I was making a huge life decision to be who I wanted to be or who I thought I was. This was before they were popular or acceptable. All but one of the men (including my dad) have been locked up. So I went to a shop and chose flash off the wall because I just wanted a tattoo. A lot of factors led up to me getting the tattoo. If the Pam Anderson movie was out, I hadn't seen it. I got a barbed wire tattoo in like 1999 right when I turned 18. We parted ways and stayed friends because we were not the same life path. I dated the dad for 2 years about 6 years ago. He took the drawing and got the tree tattooed on his arm with the tattoo he'd gotten with her mother as the roots.Įdit: I am neither the mother or daughter in this. She made her dad a drawing one day of a peach tree after they had a fight. He raised their daughter alone and she grew into a lovely, well mannered, and highly artistic young woman. She walked out on him and their two month old daughter and was never seen outside of a court room again. Shortly after the baby was born she wanted to go back to her lifestyle of parties, drugs, and rock and roll (she was in a band). She just kinda drifted and couldn't settle into the homemaker/mom lifestyle. He got his shit together, got off of drugs, got a job, and and got a small house for them to live in. They ended up getting pregnant unexpectedly. They got matching tattoos from some terrible beach tattoo shop. When he was 18 he met a girl and fell madly in love with her.
